Teacher hiring ecosystem
LevelMinds — personal project
Full-stack teacher hiring & school ecosystem platform. Designed and built end-to-end.
Context
LevelMinds is a teacher-hiring and school-ecosystem platform. Schools struggle to find vetted teachers; teachers struggle to find good schools; verification, matching, and scheduling are scattered across email, spreadsheets, and WhatsApp. I designed and built it end-to-end, full-stack.
The point of building it myself wasn't the code — it was to feel exactly what shipping a hiring product actually costs, so the design decisions are made by someone who has to live with them.
Designing as the builder
Scope is thehardest decision.
Solo, full-stack, finite time. The design work was mostly deciding what not to build so the core loop could be excellent instead of the whole thing being mediocre.
Profile as the unit
Teacher profiles and school profiles are symmetrical and equally rich. The relationship is two-sided, so neither side is a second-class citizen.
Verification up front
Trust is the whole product. Credentials and references surface early, not buried in settings — the thing that makes a marketplace credible can't be optional.
Matching over searching
Cold search is exhausting for both sides. The system proposes fits with rationale, so the first action is a reaction, not a blank query.
Build to learn the cost
Designing inside the constraints I'd have to implement killed a lot of pretty-but-expensive ideas early. The honest constraint improved the product.
Outcome
A working full-stack teacher-hiring ecosystem, designed and shipped solo. The differentiator isn't the screens — it's that I've operated a hiring product end to end, so I know which design decisions survive contact with reality.
